Prof. Seung-Mok Lee received the Ph.D. degree in civil and environmental engineering (robotics program) from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2014. From 2014 to 2015, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Urban Robotics Laboratory, KAIST. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Senior Research Engineer with the Intelligent Safety Technology Center, Hyundai Motor Company, Hwaseong, South Korea. He was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Automotive System Engineering at Keimyung University, Daegu, South Korea, from 2017 to 2021, and with the Department of Smart Automobile at Soonchunhyang University, Asan, South Korea, from 2021 to 2024. Since 2024, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Future Mobility at Kookmin University, Seoul, South Korea. His current research interests include autonomous vehicles, autonomous robot navigation, SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping), and AI (artificial intelligence).
